For over 20 years, I lived the corporate life—banking, tech, constant deadlines, endless meetings—all while raising two young kids. I was proud of how much I could juggle, but I didn’t realize how much of myself I was pouring out without ever stopping to refill. Success was the goal, and rest always felt like a luxury I hadn’t earned.
Then in 2020, life forced me to slow down. I was diagnosed with early-stage cancer—local and thankfully removed. But even after the good news, something inside me shifted. I had spent years powering through everything—work, parenting, stress—without ever truly listening to myself.
Through therapy and counseling, I started to challenge the beliefs I’d held for decades—especially the guilt I felt around slowing down. I began to understand that rest isn’t weakness; it’s part of recovery.
StickieTee came out of that season of healing. Designing StickieTee became my therapy—a way to express feelings I didn’t always have words for. Now, I want StickieTee to be more than just a shirt—it’s a voice for our moods, a reminder that mental health matters, and that it’s okay to be human, messy, and real. Every design is created with the hope of sparking honest conversations around mental health and self-care, and helping others find their way back to balance, just as I did.
